And Iโll teach you how.
For years, weโve been told to set SMART goalsโSpecific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound. Sounds great in theory.
But hereโs the problem: Most SMART goals set you up to fail.
Why? Because they focus on structure, not execution.
They tell you what a goal should look like but say nothing about what happens when:
โ Life gets in the way.
โ You lose motivation.
โ Priorities shift.
โ You hit a roadblock.
This is why I teach SMARTER goals instead:
โ
S โ Specific (Vague goals lead nowhere.)
โ
M โ Measurable (If you canโt track it, you canโt improve it.)
โ
A โ Achievable (Big goals are great, but they need to be realistic.)
โ
R โ Relevant (If it doesnโt align with your bigger picture, why bother?)
โ
T โ Time-bound (Deadlines create urgency.)
โ
E โ Evaluate (Regular check-ins prevent failure.)
โ
R โ Realign or Reward (Adapt when needed OR celebrate progress.)
Hereโs the truth: Most goals fail because they are set and forgotten.
Without evaluation, realignment, or rewards, your goal becomes just another abandoned resolution.
So, be honest: Are you setting SMARTER goals or just checking boxes?
Letโs hear itโwhatโs one goal youโre working on, and how are you keeping it alive?
